Online Registration of Nominee at EPFO Portal

 

As we all know the importance of registering Nomination in our EPF Account so those who have not registered it yet I recommend to do the same as soon as possible. The procedure is very simple and it will take only 10-15 minutes of your precious time. One of my friends has informed me that 31^st March is the last date to register nomination with EPFO Portal. Nomination details should match the nomination registered with the employer since both the details will be matched and then it will be approved for final registration.

I am giving the procedure to save your little extra time which is as follows:

1.       Go to Unified Member Portal of EPFO for which link is mentioned as under:

https://unifiedportal-mem.epfindia.gov.in/memberinterface/

 

2.       Login with your UAN and Password.

3.       Firstly the employee has to update his/her profile with:

a.       Self Photograph. Specification given at the end.

b.      Contact Address with current address and permanent address.

4.       Go to Tab -> Manage -> E-Nomination

5.       First it will ask “Having Family – Yes or No”.

6.       Then Add Family Members with details are as under:

·         Aadhaar Number

·         Name (as per Aadhaar Number)

·         Date of Birth

·         Relation

·         Address

·         Bank Account Details

·         Photograph

7.       Then select family member who is to be registered as nominee with % Share of each member.

8.       Once Nomination is submitted. The same is to be E-signed with Aadhaar using your virtual ID.

 

Specification to Upload Photo is as under as per website:

• The photograph is to be taken using a digital camera.
• The photograph is to be restricted to size of 3.5 cm x 4.5 cm before uploading.
• The image should have face prominently visible (80% of the image) with both ears visible.
• The image should be in jpeg or jpg or png format.

Scan copy of a Passport size photo can be uploaded.
